Soon after the incident, Gajanand Saraswati, an official at Dandi Ashram, told media persons on May 1 that both Rahul Sharma and Ajay Thakur had been suspended after receiving a complaint of harassment.
Another parent, whose child has been studying in Class 9 at the ashram for more than a year, said The Quint This incident took time to come to light because students were afraid to speak out.
“When I went to bring my child home, I met other parents…. Children are scared and shocked by these incidents, that is why they are not saying anything openly. After all, how can a 10-12 year old child bear all this? We are united in action and committed to ensure that the guilty are put behind bars…. It happened today, here, it can happen again tomorrow…” the parent said.
