Progress in these areas – or the lack thereof – provides valuable insights into how governments are responding to the needs of voters.
A recent study, conducted by the Center for New Economic Studies (CNES) at OP Jindal Global University, attempts to delve deeper into access-equity issues in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. It aims to measure inequality beyond income across India using the above five pillars and 60 indicators.
