With an undisputed overwhelming lead of over 220 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party’s Mahayuti alliance has won the assembly elections in Maharashtra, while the Congress-Sena UBT and NCPSP’s Maha Vikas Aghadi managed to bag double the seats. Has been successful. Points collectively.
How did this happen? 6 reasons:
women: The popularity of schemes like Ladki Bahin which gives Rs 1,500 per month, Annapurna scheme which gives 3 gas cylinders free per month, and bus concessions on MSRTC bus travel, the thickest network of transport in the state, free education for girls till graduation, Gave. Mahayuti biggest torrent. Also, Mahayuti was successful in pushing the narrative that all these welfare schemes would be closed if the opposition came to power.
Maratha: Manoj Jarange’s movement for Maratha reservation failed to consolidate votes in favor of the opposition like in the Lok Sabha. In fact, Mahayuti has performed much better in Marathwada compared to the Lok Sabha elections.
Farmer: Farmers from both Vidarbha and Marathwada voted overwhelmingly against the ruling Mahayuti in the Lok Sabha. Inflation, drought, no MSP for soybean and cotton, onion export ban were some of the major reasons behind NDA’s defeat in Lok Saha. After Lok Sabha, BJP and Mahayuti found the path of improvement. Ban on export of onion was lifted, MSP for cotton and soybean was increased marginally, and several schemes like Baliraja Vij Subsidy Scheme for free electricity for irrigation pumps were announced.
