Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 Live Updates: NDA (National Democratic Alliance) and India Bloc are set for a fierce clash during the counting of votes for 288 seats. Maharashtra Assembly and 81 seats Jharkhand Assembly Starting at 8am on Saturday, November 23.
Maharashtra witnessed the highest turnout in three decades as voters flocked to vote. The ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is aiming for another term, while the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is hopeful of a comeback.
Elections for the 81-seat assembly in Jharkhand were held in two phases on November 13 and 20, in which 67.59 percent voting took place. The state faces the challenge of balancing political alliances while addressing local issues. Hemant Soren, backed by the Congress-backed JMM alliance, has campaigned on promises of development and rights for tribal communities.
