Narrating the incident, my brother told me that our mother was already in the bedroom when he came inside and he saw some sparks and smoke coming out of the battery.

Now, despite being landlords, we are forced to live on rent. Luckily, found a flat nearby, so we are currently living there, but with the added burden of rent.
