Rafi, who died in July 1980, would have turned 100 on December 24. The pre-recorded concert was uploaded on YouTube with the caption, “Introducing our first song from the World Music Day 24 concert, ‘Abhi Na Jaao Chhote’, originally sung by the evergreen Mohammed Rafi. His music lives on in our hearts and this is our tribute to him.”
The performance was produced by pianist Saurandro Malik and singer Soumyajit Das.
The original song was sung by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle and was in the film ‘Hum Dono’ starring Dev Anand and Sadhna.
