International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN), in a open letter To of meta Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark ZuckerbergSaid that withdrawing the third-party fact-checking program would undo nearly a decade of work to promote accurate information online.
The letter came as a response to Zuckerberg’s announcement about the film in an Instagram post on January 7, where he said the company would “replace fact-checkers with community notes” in the United States.
In the clip, he said the move came into effect due to concerns about “too much censorship” and fact-checkers being too “politically biased”. His full statement can be read Here,
