Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder in his Bandra house on January 16. Police formed 20 teams to search for the accused and reportedly conducted searches in Vasai, Nalasopara and Virar areas. Police had said that the suspect, who was seen in CCTV footage near the actor’s residence, was last seen near Bandra police station.
According to the statement given by Eliama Philip, who helped the family, the intruder demanded Rs 1 crore and was allegedly armed with a hexa blade. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam told the media on Thursday that the accused took the fire escape route to enter the house.
He reportedly suffered injuries on both his hands. Khan later intervened and was injured in the resulting brawl.
