AAP was one middle class Revolution that seemed to challenge the status quo. In 2013 and 2014, the Congress government led by Manmohan Singh at the Center faced allegations of unprecedented corruption; People were upset and looking for change.
At one end of the spectrum, Kejriwal emerged as an alternative to corrupt politics, and at the other end, Narendra Modi was seen as a ‘Messiah’ that would find a solution for all the diseases that were facing the country . The two leaders were made idols by the powerful middle class.
Despite being an ideology party, AAP tried to enter a subaltern revolution by empowering the common people with better electricity, water and better facilities for education and health. But by 2025, the two leaders have become the yellow shadow of their earlier image, with little credibility between the voters.
This is due to the disadvantage of credibility that Modi failed to win the majority numbers in the parliamentary elections last year, and now at the time of writing, Kejriwal is struggling to organize his fort in Delhi.
