AAP slipped middle and upper class
Nilanjan government Hindustan Times It is written in the BJP that the BJP last ruled the national capital in the 1990s. Today’s Delhi is a separate city. It has become a metropolitan city to change from the 90s, which attracts talents from all over India and the world. In the early 2000s, a major change was seen in Delhi with the construction of wide roads and greenery under the leadership of Congress Chief Minister Sheila Dixit. Under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party rode on a wave of dissatisfaction of the middle class and upper class with alleged corruption of the Congress and gained power for the first time in 2013.
Today, the migration of middle and upper class voters is the main reason for the defeat of AAP. Kejriwal, who was once invincible, also lost his seat. The ‘Delhi model’ of ‘AAP’ has been damaged. The per capita income in Delhi is five lakh and half of its voters are of upper caste.
The Nilanjan government writes that any party will always need to win the middle and upper class voters to win Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party has lost the trust of this class. Delhi’s politics is unique. It will definitely resonate at the national level. ‘AAP’ emphasized the politics of identity in which Kejriwal made statements of soft Hindutva and Chief Minister Atishi made ridiculous efforts on the line of strict Hindutva. The fact is that the leaders were fighting for themselves instead of addressing the original issues of Delhi. It will have an impact in states like Gujarat and Punjab where ‘AAP’ has made inroads.
Out of all the elections we have seen since the general election of 2024, this time, BJP’s victory has nothing to do with Prime Minister Modi. Amidst BJP’s amazing victory in Haryana, Maharashtra and now Delhi, the common thing is that either the name of the Chief Ministerial candidate was not taken or the issue was considered irrelevant to the party’s political appeal. These elections have been won on the basis of pure organizational ability and efficiency.
Free Lance ideology and full -time politics
Akash Joshi Indian express It is written that for more than a decade, critics of Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal kept arguing that this political start up was given more importance because it was ruled in Delhi which is the national capital (Punjab later connected). Delhi remained far away for the Aam Aadmi Party, also close. Modi’s BJP in Delhi in which the BJP had once got the initial success. With your rise, you introduced a new idiom of politics and governance. Now in the new era of existence crisis, the party needs to pay fresh attention. You cannot be a permanent political party with free lance ideology.
Akash Joshi further writes that like many opposition parties, you can claim that Delhi did not have an equal field. The Lieutenant Governor was seen as a ‘obstacle’ in the government’s agenda and the top leaders were imprisoned etc. etc. But voters trapped in the middle, which becomes difficult to talk about. Lack of poor infrastructure and civil rule- especially the most loyal voters were forced to conduct transactions on basic issues like water supply and waste collection. The party, which is carrying on ideological and moral issues, is more weak on this front.
For the past few years, you have been asked questions for what the party is standing for? Is the low electricity bill enough for an ideology? Kejriwal rejects the riot -affected north East Delhi in 2020, calling Rohingya refugees a Satan, to be quiet about Bulldozer Raj, to send pilgrims to Ayodhya on the anniversary of Babri Masjid demolition and even by Chief Minister Atishi It was an attempt to play the role of Bharat by keeping the CM’s chair empty for ‘Ram’ Kejriwal.
We have the right to celebrate progress
Hindustan Times I write Rajmohan Gandhi and ask himself that what is the highest satisfaction when the completion of 75 years of our Republic? The answer is: Today, crores of Indians who work at the lower rungs, they get to talk to their loved ones, children, parents, life partners, whoever stays away from them daily. In January 1950, when the author was 14 years old, even the privileged or rich Indians could not do this. Financial equality has increased, torture on weak continues. However, if we remove a major exception, then in 2025 the society of India will not look at the shameless claims of superiority that were ideal on our streets in 1950. In short, our Dalits, tribals and lower castes are now more confident than before. We have the right to celebrate this progress.
Rajmohan Gandhi writes that the pattern of Earth’s demography in 2025 is completely different from 1950. Indians have gained prominence. Who should get the credit for this is a silly investigation. The development of our world is the subject of the mind and not ego. A feature of the current edge of Indians on the world stage and especially in the field of IT is that it is mainly created by our upper castes. This will probably change over time.
Despite the impressive promotion of the middle class of India in recent decades, a large part of the youth of India is unemployed. This can be the most disturbing feature of 2025. Government jobs, army and vacancies abroad cannot take millions of people standing in queues. Hence, fresh and courageous thinking is needed. The world needs a large number of nurses, doctors and other healthcare providers. In such a situation, should we not plan to prepare our young women and men for these necessary tasks in 2025?
Students are trapped in the web of coaching center
Geeta Ravichandran New Indian Express I have written in the closure of a famous chain of coaching centers and the students are upset. This disturbing incident was not surprising at all. Earlier too, another coaching veteran was dragged into courts by the creditors. There is adequate awareness about the incredibility and exploitative practices of shadow educational institutions. The Tamil film Vettaiyan highlights how coaching centers offer 100 percent success in competitive examinations to students. Lack of infrastructure, false stories of successful candidates and coaching centers have come under criticism to put excessive pressure on the tales.
Geeta Ravichandran writes that in 2024, the size of the private tuition industry in India was about 58 thousand crores. It is expected to increase at the rate of 15 percent. Many institutes all combine with schools and are specifically asking students to carry forward the syllabus of engineering or medical entrance exam. Students enroll in such dummy schools to focus on passing competitive examinations. In this way, important years of life of a student become odd. This creates mental and physical health challenges.
The National Education Policy 2020 talks about change towards creative evaluation rather than yoge. Also, the need to abolish coaching classes has also been emphasized. By investing in good teachers, improving the quality of school education, giving them salary according to their ability will improve the results of learning effectively. Coaching institutes achieved a new dimension during epidemic, taking advantage of technology to conduct online classes. After the epidemic, the recession was seen in this area. Investment has been identified as a decline in investment, non -payment of salary and loss of jobs in the industry.
Memories of past from Lahore
Ramchandra Guha Telegraph It is written in it that many years ago, while working on the social history of sports, he received some news of a Test match played in Lahore in 1955. It was one of the five draws in the five -match series between India and Pakistan. Social reference was interesting. This was the first time since 1947 when the city of Lahore was allowed to re-achieve its multi-cultural past. More than ten thousand tickets for the test were kept separately for the citizens of India who used to come to the Wagah border every morning and return to Amritsar the same night. An eyewitness called it ‘the largest mass migration across the border after partition’.
Ramchandra Guha writes that the next day of this test, which started on 29 January 1955, Don newspaper told how women, Sikhs, Hindus and local people turn two to three furlongs long and sometimes even more than that in long queues with patience and decency. Were waiting for The report further said, “Sikhs were particularly special and wherever they went, they were the center of attraction. He used to receive unwanted greetings and unexpected reception. Some of them used to cry while hugging their old friends in the city. “
The report published by Don was anonymous, yet the author was a Pakistani Muslim living in Lahore. His feelings were reiterated by a Hindu journalist from Madras who himself was untouched by the horrors of partition, who commented that “a very brotherhood was seen everywhere during the Test match days.” Manan Ahmad was written recently by Asif. I remembered the books ‘Discharge City: Walking the Pathways of Memory Independence in Lahore’ while reciting those yellow reports. The writer grew up in Lahore, thirty years ago, he went abroad to study and work. However, he often returns to his hometown and this book is aimed at “telling the history of this city without being hostage of the nation state which is inherited.”
