Saving Grace is an investigation into Sakrai and Manthi’s city’s secrets and Chelappa, especially given their different personalities. Chelappa, thankfully, is one of the most interesting characters of the show – he hides more than what he explains and this important element assists the above investigation.
Despite continuous flashbacks that quickly become tedious, the show is the best when it investigates the stories and motivations of the eight suspects. Regardless of an forecasted end, the show’s new moral purpose gets enough time to make its point. In a story of a woman, a woman comes with anger that questions how much a person’s agency is traditionally related to the ability to remain ‘moral’.
By the time the eight-episode of the season gets closer, you are dissatisfied on all of you. It is still a compelling base, but the execution almost makes the basis.
If Suzal Season 1 is alive, all meat and blood, then season 2 is a scarecrow, mostly husk.
