On Monday, an official on Monday was strengthened in more than 100 places across the national capital on the eve of the Holly festival and Ramzan’s prayers. The upcoming Holly festival coincides with Prayers on Friday during the Holy Moon Ramzan.
“Nobody will be allowed to violate the law enforcement situation for Holly’s prayers and Friday,” the senior police officer said, adding that they had already identified sensitive areas. We have identified more than 100 places in Delhi, where we will deploy additional police forces, as well as paramilitary forces, the officer said.
Police sources point out that some antisocial elements may try to create the excitement during the coincidence. Thus, additional police forces will be deployed in vulnerable places. “We have identified bhajanpura, dilshad garden, jagatpuri, khajuri khas, jafrabad, jahangirpuri, azadpur, seelmpur, okhla, chand bagh, khajuri, mustafabad, jafrabad, jafrabad Maujpur, Brahmpuri, Trilokpuri and Jamia Nagar are among the areas that are defined, ”the source said.
Before Holly’s prayers and Friday, senior police officers will meet with local peace committees to promote communal harmony and hinder the spread of rumors. The drones will be used for observation, and strict actions against those trying to incite religious or communal tensions will be taken, police said.
Another senior police officer said the officers will be deployed for additional observation. These officers will follow any suspicious actions to ensure timely intervention.
“Delhi police will bring rigorous measures against those who are trying to break the world. Particular attention will be paid to the college and hostel, where in previous years it was reported about the incidents of water balls and throwing color in public. If any hooliganism causes trouble for the public, the police will be interfering immediately.”
