Social Media Platform Elon Musk (previously Twitter) collided with a major worldwide shutdown, touched upon thousands of users in the US, India, UK, Australia and Canada.
On March 10, 2025, Elon Musk owned by the Social Media X, which was previously known as Twitter, re-survived a significant global shutdown. The shutdown started around 3:20 pm ist, as reported by the DowndeTORTOR, the platform that tracks sites and the shutdown of services. The platform, which stands in front of it, again around 9: 45.
Disabling left thousands of users unable to access the platform, which led to a wide breakdown in several regions, including the US, India, UK, Australia and Canada.
At the peak of more than 19,000 users, the platform problems were globally. Problems included difficulties in accessing the mobile application, and the site and entry issues.
In the United States, 58% of the affected users fought with app X, 31% faced problems with the site, and about 11% had entry problems. The situation was similar in other regions, and many users were transferred to other social media platforms to express their disappointment.
In India, the impact was relatively lower, but still typical. Downdetector India recorded about 2,600 complaints at the peak of shutdown. Among Indian users, 80% experience difficulty access to X, 11% faced login problems, and 9% reported problems with the mobile application.
Despite the broad impact, X has not yet published an official statement that explains the cause of the failure. Currently, the platform services have come back to normal. Disabling has caused concern about users and technical experts, in particular, given the large platform users base and its value for real -time information.
