Meanwhile, given the lack of space and access to the general public, the number of casualties – including terrorists, security personnel and hostages – is still not clear.
The Pakistan Army had earlier claimed on Wednesday, March 12 that they had so far killed 27 terrorists during a fierce gun battle. In addition, local media reports states that 20 Pakistan Army soldiers were killed.
However, a statement issued by the BLA at around 1:00 pm on Wednesday denied the claims of any of its fighters being killed.
The statement said, “It is clarified that not a single BLA Freedom Fighter has been martyred or injured so far. The lies spread by the enemy and misleading claims are a complete deviation and a failed attempt to hide their defeat,” the statement said.
The organization further claimed that it had carried out 10 hostages so far, and if the military action beyond the Pakistan Army, 10 more would be killed.
