A Tennessee man is facing serious allegations after authorities say he killed an 18-year-old found in bed with his wife.
Jonathan Belk, 41, allegedly discovered Billy Jean Floyd with his 31-year-old wife Jada Gholston in their home on March 8th. Sequatchie County officials later found Floyd’s body curled in a fetal position inside Belk’s trash can. Meanwhile, Gholston was located at a nearby emergency room with multiple stab wounds, though her injuries were deemed non-life-threatening.
When authorities arrived, Belk was reportedly “standing in his doorway covered in blood.” While in custody, he allegedly admitted his fears about his marriage, stating, “I am worried about my relationship with my wife due to the fact that I offed him,” per the police report.
Following Floyd’s tragic death, his loved ones remembered him fondly. Known as “Lil’ Bill,” his obituary described his passion for “hunting, fishing, four-wheelers, and working on everything,” adding, “He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.”
His mother, Rachel Marie Floyd, paid tribute on Facebook, writing, “I love you so much my sweet baby, You will never be forgotten.” In another post, she heartbreakingly shared, “Moma is lost without you baby boy.”
Now in Sequatchie County Jail, Belk is facing multiple charges, including criminal homicide, the sheriff’s office told Local 3 News on March 10th.
