The Meitei community of Manipur began a five-day celebration of Jair, as it is known as the state, burned by straw huts built at the Sri Praise Temple Complex. Yaoshang is one of the largest festivals in Meitei community of Manipur.

Unique Holly of Manipur, local clubs and communities organize sports meetings in different parts of the state, based on the packaged and happy festival of action. But all this is done with a low key due to circumstances.
