Drugs were transported into a domestic flight from Delhi in Bengalur, raising serious security issues at Bengalur International Airport.
The largest bust of drugs Karnataki: 37,878 kg seized MDMA
Karnataka police have made its largest drug attack to date, seizing 37,878 kg MDMA, synthetic drug, which is estimated at 75 rubles. Drugs were transported into a domestic flight from Delhi in Bengalur, raising serious security issues at Bengalur International Airport.
Two South African women were arrested in connection with the case. Police Commissioner Manguro Anup Agraw, at the press briefing on March 16, 2025, identified them as Bambo Fans (alias Adonis Jabulile, 31, from Agbovillae) and Ebigayle Adonis (pseudonym Oolja Evans, 30, from Pretoria).
Six months of the investigation reveals major network smuggling
The commissioner Agroval showed that the arrests were the result of a broad investigation of the central crime (CCB) initiated after the arrest of Haider Ali in 2024, a suspect to distribute drugs with 15 grams of MDMA. His interrogation brought the authorities to Peter Ikei Bellovo, a citizen of Nigeria, who was caught in Bengalur with 6,248 kg.
Bellovo’s statements showed that Fa and Adonis were key suppliers traveling from Delhi to Bengalur every two weeks to deliver MDMA and return for 24 hours. Their movements were under the observation of CCB for six months, which led to their possible arrest.
Tracking drug distribution: As Bengalur Airport became smuggling
On March 14, operating on the hint, the CCB team waited at the Bengalur International Airport from the arrival of the suspects. Without knowing the police supervision, both women booked a taxi for drug distribution. The officers followed them nearly six hours before passing the raid in Nagar’s place, the city of electronics, where they seized 37,878 kg and arrested the suspects.
Police also resumed four mobile phones, two trolleybuses, two passports and 18,460.
Seed check -up: Wide smuggling operation
Initial interrogations have shown that in the last year the accused traveled to Bengalur 37 times and Mumbai 22 times. The ability to shy away from the airport security has repeatedly caused serious concern about how drugs are transported within the country. Investigators suspect that MDMA has either arisen from another country or drug suppliers near Delhi.
Authorities also found that Fans and Adonis acted for 18 months, most likely using fake passports and visas. A fountain leading a business basket came to India in business in 2020 and has been living in Delhi since then. Adonis, a seller of finished clothing, arrived in a medical visa in 2016.
With operations distributed in several states, the Bureau for Drug Control (NCB) is now coordinating with the police to find the entire smuggling network.
Understanding MDMA: a dangerous synthetic drug

Powder or crystals (moths) – snorted or mixed in drinks.
Influence on the health of MDM abuse

- This can lead to dehydration, high blood pressure, heart problems and deadly overheating.
Detection of mdma in the body
- Blood: up to 48 hours
- Urine: 1-3 days
- Saliva: up to 24 hours
- Hair: Up to 90 days
Stupid and recovery
Treatment includes behavioral therapy, counseling and medical detox to combat symptoms. Rehabilitation programs and support groups help people recover and lead life without drugs.
Active approach to drug containment
In order to effectively fight drug trafficking, the authorities must implement an active intervention strategy that violates supply chains and determines key players on the network. One important step is the classification of addiction cases as a medical, guarantee that all people who have entered the drug abuse centers, reported in the police station.
This system would allow law enforcement agencies to cooperate closely with medical workers, allowing police officers to interact with drug addicts and collect exploration on drug sources, routes and suppliers. Using this information, the authorities can track and dismantle distribution networks before they expand further.
In addition, stronger drug monitoring, frequent high -risk check -level checks and coordination between state and central agencies can help identify hidden narcotic centers. Ensuring strict border supervision, airport security and financial tracking suspected carriers to further enhance measures.
The introduction of such a joint and intellectual approach can greatly strengthen the efforts to manage drugs, which will lead to more active repression and prevent large -scale drug circulation.
Bengalur International Airport: Safety Point for Smugglers?
This case once again put Bengalur’s International Airport under close attention, only a few days after the Rao Rao smuggling case, where on March 3, 2025, 14.2 kg of gold bars were confiscated on March 3, 2025. In this case, critical security failures have been exposed, revealing how organized smuggling syndicates manipulate loopholes for transportation against detection.
The investigation on the smuggling network found that the Prime Minister -accused Rao had possessed the UAE identification and traveled to Dubai 27 times since January 2025, according to strong ties with the international gold smuggling syndicates.
Adding to the dispute, the wound of the Rao Podoritsa Senior Officer DGP-arrog K. Ramacander Rao, IPS. Income intelligence (DRRI) Intelligence Directorate claims that she abused the police protocol available at the Bengalur International Airport to smuggle gold without security check. This discovery raises serious questions about the degree of participation of insiders in the smuggling networks operating through the airport.
Internal work? Corruption and security violations at Bengalur Airport
Experts believe that the frequency of high trade at Bengalur Airport is not only related to its strategic location, but also with the participation of insiders in authorized agencies. Many believe that corrupt officials under customs, immigration and security examination contribute to smuggling operations.
These compromised officials create corruption ecosystem, allowing traders to use the airport safety. Despite the increasing observation, the case of smuggling the gold Rao and the last MDMA bust suggest that well -related criminal networks continue to act without fear.
The fact that smugglers repeatedly bypass the security of the airport indicates the presence of “black sheep” in law enforcement agencies. Many traders depend on the insiders to facilitate their movement through security checkpoints, providing unnoticed their prohibited goods.
To solve these problems there is an urgent need for corruption repression, including:
Tougher checks for airport staff.
Improved passenger monitoring with suspicious travel models.
Grams of accountability measures within law enforcement agencies.
Extended scanning and tracking systems and luggage.
Conclusion: A growing reputation of Bengalur Airport as smuggling
Cases at Bengalur International Airport at Bengalur International Airport have strange security failures. Involvement of people with loud relationships, as it is seen in the Rao Rao case, is of concern over the scale of corruption in law enforcement agencies.
If the authorities do not take immediate action, the airport risks becoming a preferred center for international criminal syndicates. The case of corruption, increasing security vigilance and ensuring strict law enforcement is the only way to prevent Bengalur become smuggling in India.
