The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has asked its Bangladeshi counterpart, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), to “prevent” citizens from entering India illegally. Since August 12, BSF and BGB held 722 meetings and carried out 1,367 coordinated patrols. The move followed violence in Bangladesh after the Sheikh Hasina government’s fall in August.
