As Trump administration cracks down on illegal migrants in USA, the first batch of Indian illegal immigrants were deported to India.
A military plane C-17 reportedly carrying 205 Indians is expected to land in India in 24 hours. The US embassy didn’t provide any details. At least 18,000 were identified as illegal immigrants.
Earlier, the Indian government had signalled its willingness to cooperate with US agencies in identifying and repatriating India citizens who entered USA illegally. It is said that India wants to avoid any conflict and bolster ties with USA amid Trump’s tariff threats.
