The annual Goa Carnival, which is an influence of the carnival celebrations worldwide, is held on 10 February with great music and frlic. However, in a run until Carnival, “Setlers” in Goa organized a parade of Arambol aka “Freak Parade”.
This is a “foreigner” phenomenon, where the travelers around the world donate to the most colorful organizations and, dancing to their original countries and dancing to the songs, the entire length of the Arabol Beach of North Goa.
According to a Facebook inviting for the 2015 Parade of Arabol, the program is not to “sell ideas, sarong, sandwiches or gods”.
This parade provides an uncontrolled view in Goa’s “hippie” scene and is an unfit celebration of life devoid of metropolitan influence in its essence.
“Freak Parade” This is perfect for the name.
