Arjun Kapoor took on hosting duties at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards held on March 20, 2025. During the event, the Singham Again actor poked fun at himself while speaking about being single. Embracing his relationship status with good humour, he made a lighthearted joke about being alone. He left the audience in splits with his optimistic take on life after his breakup. He said:
“Aaj main akela hi sahi. Akele se yaad aya. I think being alone is not such a bad thing for all of you and for me. Fyada hum sabka hi hai. Because mujhe milenge do host hone ke paise aur aapko bakwas, I mean baat chit kam suni padenge, because attention span logon ka kam ho chuka hai.”
When Arjun Kapoor confirmed his breakup
Even though reports of Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora’s breakup had been circulating for a while, rumours intensified last year when Arjun was seen standing by Malaika and taking responsibility after her father’s passing. However, just a few days later, in October 2024, during a Diwali party attended by his Singham Again co-stars, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff, Arjun publicly confirmed that he was single. He simply said:
“Abhi single hoon main, relax.”
Malaika Arora’s surprise performance leaves Arjun Kapoor speechless
Arjun Kapoor recently came face-to-face with his ex-girlfriend, Malaika Arora on the sets of India’s Best Dancer vs Super Dancer. A promo showed Malaika grooving to her iconic hits, while Arjun, alongside Bhumi Pednekar, was there promoting Mere Husband Ki Biwi. Arjun was visibly stunned watching Malaika’s energetic performance. When asked to comment on Malaika’s performance, Arjun, after a moment of silence, said:
“Meri bolti band ho chuki hai saalo se, mai abhi bhi chup rehna chahta hu. But I want to say this: I have got a chance to hear all my favourite songs, which just show the career and the life that she has had. The kind of music, performances and the fact that we can pay a tribute to somebody who is still doing such an amazing job, congratulations Malaika. You know how much I love all these songs. Bahut acha laga to be able to see you being celebrated like this.”
