Do you think it is your strength to be a ‘dynasty’?
First of all, I do not agree with the word ‘dynasty’. This is derogatory and condemnation. In democracy, the most basic unit is a person. Our constitution has given equal rights to every person with the right to choose any profession. Any political activist in India can be if he wants. Just because I am born in a political family, why should I be deprived of that right or if I belong to it, they should be removed? Coming from a political family has both advantages and disadvantages. Since childhood, you make you aware of politics and political issues and processes that serve as a great training and learning process. If your parents or family members are in electoral politics, then you get a lot of experience working in elections. Most importantly, you are born in an ideology and are actually committed to it. You are unlikely to be a political opportunity. The disadvantage is that expectations are too much from you, you always compare your father or mother. You also carry their goods.
Why were some people of your own party against getting tickets? Protests took place outside the party office.
I don’t know that there was any specific opposition especially against me. But in every election, there are disgruntled people who are not happy with ticket distribution. So they oppose. This is nothing uncommon and it happens in every political party.
What is your first election campaign, what are the biggest challenges in this?
AAP & BJP has two contenders-one current MLA and a former MLA-Both constituency had comparatively more comparative faces. But I have managed to overcome that obstacle by campaigning intense door-to-door. Now, people have started recognizing me on the streets.
What do you set apart from AAP MLA and BJP candidate?
Their disability and inability to distribute, my party’s delivery rule and track record experience, and a hard work with new ideas for the development of my constituency, my own strength to be an honest and dedicated person is my greatest strength.
Where are you standing on CAA-NRC debate?
The stand of the Indian National Congress of CAA-NRC is very clear. CAA and NRC outside Assam are unconstitutional.
Have you been rebel in the last few weeks?
Yes. I went to Shaheen Bagh at the beginning of protest.
What is your priority for the constituency?
My priority is a clean and safe RK Puram. Clean water, better roads, safe and safe environment.
Why have the Congress party not campaigned with enthusiasm as AAP and BJP during these elections? Where are big rallies and public addresses?
who said that? All our senior leaders in Delhi, including Mr. Ajay Mechen, JP Aggarwal and others are campaigning everyday. All Congress CMS and senior leaders of other states are campaigning for our candidates. Rahul ji and Priyanka ji are also promoting and conducting rallies.
What is your plan for women in your constituency?
I would like to form self-help groups for women in groups. A safe environment for women in general.
Finally, why should voters choose you tried and tested candidates?
They are not only tried and tested, voters are also tired of their false promises, lack of delivery and arrogant behavior. I am getting this response everywhere. Voters are ready to give me a chance because they believe in my honesty and also trust the collective experience of the Congress party’s good governance.
