Former Army Commander Lieutenant General AK Singh said, “India can tolerate the cost of war or proxy war, but is very suspicious for Pakistan.”
In an interview with The Quint Lieutenant General AK Singh expressed how Wing Commander Abhinandan Varteman has “actually behaved like a good soldier and made us all feel proud by his conduct in custody.”
He explains how India’s strike in Balkot was a calculation sign for Pakistan.
“India’s strike in Balkot was a calculation and measured signal for Pakistan. It was not an increase on war matrix, but there was an increase on signaling matrix for Pakistan. It was to say that we have political will, we have the ability to come up with such armeds. Pakistan is not just a poke.”

‘War and struggle are serious business’
Recently, proceeding on the IAF strike, he said that a token response became mandatory for Pakistan and Pakistan armed forces were hurt where it is the most pain.
“War and conflict are serious business. Its benefits and disadvantages. It has ups and downs. It is a long race. Better power like India can definitely try to control and control the story to a point, but it is not possible to cover or control every aspect of conflict or growth,” Lieutenant General AK Singh is called.
Options for India’s option to move forward
There are three options for India in the opinion of Lieutenant General AK Singh to allow escape, de-esscale or status to flow.
He explains that as far as India has increased, India is already on a high border as air power has been used. If India had to decide to go to move forward, it could be out of control.
He says that the problem with de-escation is that India has tried many times. Pakistan will have to take more concrete action.
‘Pakistan will hurt much more than India through struggle’
Lieutenant General AK Singh highlighted the fact that Pakistan has been encouraged what they have been able to do.
He says:
“Pakistan has to deal widely on several platforms and through diplomatic means and economic squeeze over a continuous period. The cost of war can be measured in terms of economic cost and human cost. India can definitely tolerate the cost of war, but it may be unwanted that Pakistan may know.”
