The need for horizontal reservation is that it will spread to all caste categories, allowing separate reservation within each vertical range of SC/ST/OBC/General.
Emphasizing the need for comprehensive research and policies, Shyam said, “There is a need for laws in boards in a democratic country. Everyone needs to feel safe. Policies are just sitting as the thesis material, besides all researchers, besides being located in America or west, we need more local-level research (ERS) and research should also be solved to the public.”
