Bapu, the father of the nation, leader and visionary. Gandhi was known to donate several hats. But who was the real Gandhi? Was he a flawed man?
Do you know that before he propagated vegetarianism in the world, he had secretly reunited the meat. Before he used to bite Khadi and teach us Indians to become self -sufficient, he forced his wife and children to wear western. Gandhi’s striking confession in his autobiography, Story of my experiments with truth, Reveal the man behind the Mahatma.
Mahatma, who believed in the similarity of sex, was once a jealous husband
Gandhi says in his book that:
“If I should be promised to be loyal to my wife, she should also promise to be loyal to me,” I told myself. This idea made me a jealous husband. His duty easily turned into his right, which had turned into my authority for his accurate faith, and if it should be accurately correct, I did not have the reason for his wife not even.
Gandhi took a long time to feel that he was wrong to suspect his wife and rectified herself, resulting in a long marriage to his wife Kasturba which was filled with mutual respect for each other.
From remembering meat to promoting vegetarianism
We all know that Gandhi was all for vegetarianism, but it rarely knows that there was a time when he secretly added meat again. He first ate meat when a friend forced him. Initially he did not like the taste, but gradually he achieved a taste for it, beating the flesh of meat. He also believed that the British were strong because they ate meat while Indians were weak because they did not consume it.
Later, his mother left him to raise vegetarianism, when he was going abroad to pursue education, he helped him understand the importance of vegetarianism and played an important role in shaping the principle of non -violence (non -violence).
Being a fan of European clothing to a proud half clad fakir
Gandhi once strongly believed that someone needs to wear European clothes to make some impact in the society. He wanted his wife and children to wear clothes in western wear. But later he understood the power of self -sufficiency and taught the whole world how to spin Chark and make Khadi.
“I believed that to look civilized, our dress and etiquette was as possible to approximate to the European standard. Because I thought we could have some effects in this way, and it would not be possible to serve the community without influence. So I determined the style of dress for my wife and children.
From nurturing the ideas of lust to remembering the meat, the man stood opposite to Gandhi Mahatma which he became later.
