A day after two Muslim men killed a Hindu tailor in Udaipur, artists, scholars and politicians demanded strict action against the killers and called for peace.
Kanhaiya lal teliIn Udaipur, Rajasthan, a tailor was murdered by two people in the Dhan Mandi area of the city on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 28, supporting the allegedly suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson on their social media posts Nupur SharmaComment against Prophet Muhammad.
Historian and writer RakhShanda Jalil Said that there can be no excuse or outside circumstances for the incident.
“What happened in Udaipur should be condemned in very uneven words. I call you a practice Muslim, this is not the way to the Prophet. If you think you are doing it for your Prophet, then for your religion, you are misguided,” he said.
