Pakistani actor, Danish Taimoor recently shared a new video on his Instagram handle where he apologised to his fans for his recent comments on polygamy that brought a lot of backlash. In the video, he shared that the issue turned into a major controversy, blaming him for disrespecting his wife, but the reality is that he loves Ayeza Khan. In his words:
“Mai janta hu aap log mujhe thoda sa naaraz hai. Uss din jo bhi incident hua hai, kuch logo ko lagta hai ki shayad maine disrespect kiya hai apni biwi ko, toh aisa hargiz nahi hai. Meri koi aisi intention nahi thi, mai bohot pyaar karta hu usse.”
Danish added that he used the wrong word, like filhaal (for now), to describe his marriage to Ayeza Khan. The Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi actor shared that he has had an uncontroversial career for 18 years now, and he feels that when his intention was right, this matter shouldn’t be taken forward. For those unaware, netizens named Danish a ‘red flag’ and pointed out his disrespectful behaviour, creating a stir online. Apologising for his statement, Danish said:
“Shayad alfaaz ka chunav jo hai woh shayad sahi nahi hua hai. It’s been almost 18 years now. Kabhi zindagi mai koi controversy bani nahi hai aur mai chahunga iss baat ko hum yahi khatam kare. Kyuki jab meri niyat aur mera dil hi nahi hai aisa toh baat ko badhane ka koi fayda nahi hai. Main dil se sorry kehta hu.”
Danish Taimoor reveals why he used the word filhaal while talking about polygamy, bringing criticism
Previously, Danish Taimoor shared another explanation behind his controversial statement on polygamy and the stir created online. He mentioned that he was adamant about the use of the word filhaal because it might be possible that he dies the next moment. So, he always uses that word, and unlike the people’s speculation that it created a fuss at his home, the actor revealed that he and his wife laughed while reading the comments that were criticised against him. He said:
“Yeh baat hai na log galat samajh rahe hai. Kal main aur Ayeza na raat ko behte hue bahut haas rahe the, hum sirf comments pade aur hanse jaye kyunki na meri aise koi intention thi na uske, aap ek baat notice karo 15 Dino mein kisi ne hamari koi acche baat jo ham kar rahe the, woh viral nahi ki, iss tarah nahi ki, main aapko yahi kehta hu, gossiping jo hai na, yeh galat hai, mein issi chiz ke against hu jo log aapko baith ke judge karte hai aapke dil ki baat aap jaante jai ya Allah janta hai.”
