Late Merchant Navy Officer, Saurabh Rajput would not have even thought in his wildest dream that the girl whom he loved, Muskaan Rastogi, would kill him with her lover, Sahil Shukla. The officer had returned from London to celebrate the birthday of his daughter. It was on March 4, 2025, when he was drugged by his own wife, his body was then dismembered and after that sealed with cement. Muskaan and Sahil then went to Himachal Pradesh for a vacation and their cab driver, Ajab Singh shared details about the duo.

For the unversed, Muskaan and Sahil after murdering Saurabh in Uttar Pradesh went for a vacation in Himachal Pradesh with Sahil. The driver, Ajab, who accompanied them in an interview with India Today TV, shared that their behaviour was normal and it did not feel like they had murdered the 29-year-old Merchant Navy officer. The driver shared that throughout the journey from Shimla to Manali, the duo barely spoke to one another. However, Muskaan had made two calls to her mom from the trip.
Now, a report by PTI stated that Sahil and Muskaan stayed in Kasol for six days after committing the heinous crime. In order to cover their tracks, they went to Himachal Pradesh and came back to Meerut on March 17, 2025.

Cab driver, Ajab also shared that Sahil used to booze two bottles of alcohol, and Muskaan drank tonnes of beer that she got from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. He also shared that the duo had celebrated Holi with a lot of fervour. After murdering, Saurabh, the duo had booked a Swift Dzire back on March 4, 2025, which was on the same day of the murder. Muskaan and Sahil then went on a 15-day trip to Manali and Shimla as per a report by NDTV. The report also stated that Muskaan and Sahil introduced themselves as husband and wife and, on March 10, 2025, checked into a hotel in Kasol, where they resided for six days.

Hotel operator, Aman Kumar shared that Ajab had given them company. The hotel operator noticed that Muskaan and Sahil preferred to stay in their hotel rooms all day and night. The room number was 203 and the operator was stunned as tourists like to explore new places when they come to Kasol. The operator also said that no one was allowed to enter the room, clean it, and have minimal interaction with the staff. When they checked out, the hotel operator said that the lovers told them that they had arrived from Manali and would go to Uttar Pradesh.

Ajab also shared an audio message he received from Muskaan and shared that when they were staying in Shimla, she ordered a cake for Sahil’s birthday. She sent an audio clip and instructed the driver to drop her a text to confirm that it had arrived and not to call her. They had booked the cab for 15 days and had paid Rs. 54,000. The driver claimed that he did not know that Muskaan and Sahil had committed a murder.
