Irfan, the only breadwinner of the family, overtook a wife and a daughter. Despite the family advice against stepping out due to violence, he said he would adopt a different route.
With a monthly income of about 60,000–70,000 rupees, Irfan ran a small welding unit near his home. He used to go to Itarsi to work at least two or three times a month.
“The family needs to be compensated. The rest of us are not financially well closed. My elder brother has a tea stall, another brother is an auto-rickshaw driver, I have not yet a proper business, and our two sisters are married. He is his only child,” said Imran.
Irfan’s wife Uzma, a housewife, is still in shock, he said.
He said, “We all want the culprits to be identified and punished. He was the only earning member. His wife should get a government job, the government needs to fund his education. It is poor who dies,” he said.
