The Hindi film industry is filled with celebrities having love and hate relationships. The number of breakups and patch-ups in the industry is faster than the speed of light. Apart from actors and actresses being in relationships, many directors have been linked with many heroines. While there have been some who have openly declared their love, there have been some directors who have buried their love in the grave. It is said that director Rohit Shetty was once heads-over-heels in love with Prachi Desai, and reportedly, they used to also stay together.
When Rohit Shetty fell in love with Prachi Desai
According to a report by India.com, Rohit had fallen in love with Prachi when he was shooting Bol Bachchan with her. The Rohit Shetty directorial had Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, and Asin among the other cast. The report by the publication mentioned that Rohit and Prachi came close and Shetty had also arranged for a romantic dinner for the actress in Jaipur.
When Rohit Shetty and Prachi Desai lived together
The report further stated that Rohit and Prachi used to stay under the same roof. Allegedly, it was in 2005 when Rohit got married to Maya, a banker. Rohit, despite being married, was also in a relationship with Prachi. In the end, he went back to his wife, and reportedly, neither Prachi nor Rohit ever commented on their scandalous secret love life. The actress had made her TV debut with the show, Kasamh Se where she played the role of ‘Bani’. After a while, she stepped into the universe of Bollywood and did Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, I, Me Aur Main and Azhar among a few movies.
When Prachi Desai opened up on her views related to marriage
Prachi, earlier in an interview with ETimes shared her thoughts about the institution of marriage. She shared that her upbringing made her realise that marriage was not something that was like an escape mechanism. She always looked at it as her safe zone. The boss lady had shared:
“My parents have brought me up in such a way that I never saw marriage as a safety net or as something I would do if my career slowed down for a bit or something didn’t work out.”
Prachi Desai once spoke about her humble background and not having any hand-holders in the industry
Prachi also revealed that she came from a simple background and never had any angels in Bollywood who helped her carve a niche. The actress shared that never had godfathers in Bollywood and was proud to achieve everything in her own stride. She also shared that her parents had never pressured her to find a man. In her words
“We belong to a really humble background, and we feel it’s a big deal that we have come this far. For them and for me, it is something I completely own that I have made it this far in my profession on my own, with no godfathers or hand-holders. My parents have always respected my space and never spoken about marriage or finding a guy.”
