After the CBI took over the case, the major debate surrounding it came to a rest, which has been reignited after they allegedly filed a closure report in the case, giving a clean chit to the accused, Rhea Chakraborty and her family. Amid this, his former manager, Disha Salian’s father’s lawyer, made an important revelation.
Disha Salian’s father’s lawyer claims more investigations can be made in SSR cases like Arushi Talwar murder case
Disha Salian has been a significant figure in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case because she was the former manager of the actor, who died a week before his death after allegedly falling off from the 14th floor of her building. Initially, Disha’s family and authorities refused any link between the two cases, but there have been doubts about it. Her father, Satish Salian’s lawyer recently reacted to the CBI filing a closure report in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Speaking to ANI, Advocate Nilesh C Ojha, representing Disha Salian’s father, claims the accused didn’t get any clean chit after CBI’s closure report. In his words:
“No clean chit has been given. People are running a false narrative…This closure report has no such value before law. After the closure report, the court can still take cognisance of the murder case, and issue an arrest warrant or order for further investigation. Just like it happened in the case of Aarushi Talwar.”
Nilesh shared that he has not seen any closure report and that CBI has not shared its findings in the case. Also, he cited cases where the court rejected the closure report and reopened cases, issuing new charges. Sharing his views on politics surrounding the case, the lawyer said:
“While politicians may have their agenda, this case is about seeking justice for Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput, not political gains. The legal process should remain independent and focused on finding the truth, not influenced by political dynamics.”
Lawyer, Nilesh Ojha opens up discrepancies in Disha Salian’s death case
Nilesh Ojha shared that Disha’s father had filed a public interest litigation (PIL) in 2023 and later that year, Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed in the case, but it caused a major delay. Later, when Disha’s father filed a formal complaint in January 2024 with allegations and evidence against Aditya Thackeray and others for gang rape, nothing was done. Sharing the concerns of Disha’s father, he said:
“Disha Salian’s father is demanding answers to four crucial questions: Was Aditya Thackeray’s mobile tower location linked to the incident? Was he in the vicinity at the time? Why was a false post-mortem report created? And why were witnesses reportedly threatened?”
Aditya Thackeray refuses claims made by Disha Salian’s father
A few days ago, Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salain, approached the Bombay High Court to appeal for a fresh investigation into her death case; he accused Aditya Thackeray and more behind her death in mysterious circumstances. Also, Satish mentioned that the case was investigated when his family’s party ruled the state, which could have led to manipulation in investigations. Later, the politician denied the claims and mentioned:
“There is no substance in the charges…the matter is in the court…let them go to court. I am telling them that it would boomerang on them. For the last five years, they have been trying to defame me. They stand exposed on all counts…the matter is in the court…I will respond in the court.”
