Sauce Walka and his artist Sayso P were reportedly shot in Memphis on Saturday afternoon near the FedExForum, with Sayso P tragically losing his life.
The incident occurred outside the Westin Hotel, near the intersection of Second Street and Lt. George W. Lee Avenue, prompting a heavy police presence and road closures. Sauce Walka, who remains in stable condition, was reportedly seen near emergency vehicles at the scene, with multiple patrol cars and ambulances responding to the situation. Authorities have yet to confirm the identities of the victims, but social media reports have linked them to the shooting. It seems both artists were in Memphis networking.
The shooting comes at the end of a tumultuous week for the hip-hop community, which has seen several Texas rapper-related tragedies. In a separate incident, Dallas star Yella Beezy was indicted on charges related to the 2020 murder of rapper Mo3.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting as the community mourns the loss of Sayso P.
