Clooney was born on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky to entrepreneur and former beauty queen Nina Bruce Warren and journalist Nick Clooney.
He may have caught the acting bug from his aunt, Rosemary Clooney, a singer and actress best known for the classic 1954 film White Christmas.
When Clooney was in high school, he spent a year enduring Bell’s palsy, which left him partially paralised in the face.
In an interview with Larry King, he stated that “yes, it goes away. It takes about nine months to go away. It was the first year of high school, which was a bad time for having half your face paralysed.”
Thankfully, Clooney made a full recovery and by 1978, he landed his first onscreen role in a television miniseries Centennial.
