Nita Ambani reveals purchasing Hardik Pandya in auction for 10,000 US Dollars for Mumbai Indians
A video went viral where Nita from an event in Boston shared memories of scouting for talent and going to every Ranji Trophy match where just two crows were sitting in the audience. Her scouts and she would go to all these domestic cricket matches. And one day, her scouts took two young, lanky, thin boys to the camp. She was talking to them, and they said that for three years, they’d eaten nothing but Maggi noodles because they’d had no money. But in them, she saw the spirit, passion, and hunger they wanted to make it big. Those two brothers were Hardik and Krunal Pandya. Speaking of Hardik, Nita further said:
“In 2015 I bought Hardik Pandya at 10,000 US Dollars in the auction. And today he is the proud captain of Mumbai Indians.”
Nita also shared how the scouts had also gotten in one young cricketer with an odd body language and said watch him bowl. They watched him speak to the ball. Another legend, Lasith Malinga and Nita were watching him and he told her to watch out for the young man who was none other than Bumrah. And they say the rest is history. Tilak Varma is also now a proud member of Team India. So Nita thinks that Mumbai Indians is rightfully called the nursery of cricket in India.
