Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is all set for the release of his latest blockbuster, Sikandar, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. As Salman gears up for the grand release of this entertainer this Eid, i.e., March 30, 2025, the actor remains under the shadow of serious death threats from the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Salman Khan on living with constant death threats
Salman Khan has been busy promoting his much-awaited film, Sikandar, over the past few days. Amidst the promotional hustle, the superstar sat down for a candid chat with select media in Mumbai. Over the past few months, Salman has reportedly received multiple threats, allegedly from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, a group that has targeted the star several times. Following the death of NCP leader, Baba Siddique in October 2024, Salman, a close friend of Siddique, was allegedly marked as a target by the Bishnoi gang.
Despite this looming danger, Salman has not let it affect his professional commitments. When asked whether he worries about his safety, the Sultan star pointed towards the sky and said:
“Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai.”
AR Murugadoss remembers Salman Khan’s tight security on the sets of Sikandar
For some context into the matter, we have to go back to November 2024, when Salman was in the middle of shooting for Sikandar and Bigg Boss 18, amidst repeated death threats targeted towards him. Immediately after this incident, the superstar’s security was amped up to the Y+ level, and he was under tight security even on the sets, escorted by armed guards at all times. Talking about the tight security that surrounded the actor during shoots, Sikandar’s director, AR Murugadoss, told the Times of India:
“Salman sir is completely different. The scale of Sikandar was massive, we often had scenes with 10,000 to 20,000 people on set. Managing such large crowds required high security and intense coordination. Our schedule was so demanding, and it became more hectic with the threat. Post that, the security was tightened and the checking of all the extra artistes on set would take 2-3 hours daily. Their entries and exits took the majority of our days and we would often start the shoot late and end late by wee hours of the morning. Our biological cycle went on toss. But once we adapted, it became a routine, and the set had a very positive energy.”

Salman Khan predicts a Rs. 200 crore box office run of Sikandar
On March 23, 2023, Salman Khan graced the grand trailer launch of Sikandar in Mumbai, accompanied by his co-star Rashmika Mandanna. During the event, when asked about the film’s expected box office numbers, Salman cheekily responded:
“Picture achi ho ya buri ho, wo Rs 100 crore toh paar kara hi dete hain… Rs 100 crore bohot pehle ki baat hain, ab Rs 200 crore.”
Well, it seems like with the heavy security around him, Salman Khan remains undeterred by the death threats and wants to stay true to his profession!
