The Meerut city witnessed a chilling murder when a young woman, Muskan Rastogi killed her husband, Saurabh, who was an ex-navy officer. She ended her husband’s life by conspiring with her lover, Sahil Shukla earlier this month. Soon, she fled to Shimla with her lover, and came back to town and confessed her crime in front of her mother. Later, the mother claimed that she was the one to get her arrested, but now, new facts about the mother has been making headlines.
Muskan’s mother wasn’t her step-mother
Recently, we stumbled upon a Reddit discussion platform, wherein the person in the clip revealed that during the police investigation, shocking facts about Muskan’s family came out. It was found out the woman, Kavita Rastogi, who claimed that she got her own daughter, Muskan arrested, is actually the accused person’s step-mother.
The video also claimed that police found out how Saurabh would not only transfer money in Muskan’s account, but also his wife’s mother, Kavita’s bank out. Another shocking fact, which came out during investigation is that it wasn’t the mother who filed a complaint against her daughter, Muskan, but the workers, who were asked by the family to dispose of the drum.
Muskan had slit her husband, Saurabh’s throat, while her lover, mutilated his body
In another nerve-chilling revelation in Saurabh Rajput’s murder case, police found out that it was eight days before the crime, Muskan bought two knives for Rs. 800. She rehearsed how to stab multiple times. The investigation also revealed Muskan also bought a cut-throat razor, and it was later used to sever Saurabh’s head from his body.
The accused in the case, Muskan and Sahil, have confessed to mutilating the victim’s body. During the interrogation, Muskan admitted to severing Saurabh’s wrists to prevent police from identifying him through fingerprints. They further revealed that they slit his throat and decapitated him thinking that a headless body would make it harder to identify him.

Merchant Navy officer’s mother-in-law got her own daughter arrested
In an interview with NDTV, Saurabh’s mother-in-law, Kavita Rastogi, revealed that they were the ones who got her arrested. She claimed that her daughter confessed her crime in front of her, and they immediately took her to the nearby police station. She was quoted as saying:
“Jo bhi allegations lage hai, sahi hai, humne hi use arrest karwaya hai. Usne humare samne aakar confess kara tha, ‘Ki mai ne aise aise kar diya hai Saurabh ko’. Hum ekdum turant thane le gaye. Kal 18 ko bataya hai, 17 ko aayi hai. Kehti ki mummy aise aise humne Saurabh ko maar diya hia.”
Mother revealed real reason behind her daughter killing her Merchant Navy husband
When questioned about the reason for killing her husband, the family revealed that Muskan told them that it was her friend, Sahil, who instigated her against her husband by stating that they wouldn’t be able to have drugs as he would stop them. The mother, Kavita, further revealed that her daughter had been staying alone since they got married. The mother added that her daughter didn’t get along with her in-laws.
