Patrick Schwarzenegger grew up with one of the most famous surnames in the world being the son of parents Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.
So it’s a natural curiosity to want to know what his upbringing was like.
The White Lotus star, 31, appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show this week where his journalist mother Shriver, 69, who is part of the Kennedy family, asked him some questions during a segment.

“What’s one thing you got away with as a kid, I still don’t know about?” she asked.
“I don’t know, my parents were frightening, I didn’t want to do anything against Maria and Arnold,” he said with a laugh, looking anxious.
Patrick went on to admit there were “a lot of rules” growing up.
“They were very strict parents. I’m worried I’m gonna get grounded if I say something now.”

It comes after Shriver touched on her divorce from the action hero in her new book, I Am Maria. Their divorce was finalised in 2021, it has been reported.
“My twenty-five-year-long marriage blew up. It broke my heart, it broke my spirit, it broke what was left of me,” she wrote, with an excerpt shared with People.
“That said, I do want to take a moment to acknowledge the grace, valor, and courage my children exhibited.
“Everything about their world and the sanctity of their home got uprooted in an instant.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver were the ultimate Hollywood couple before their sudden split in 2011 after 25 years of marriage.
He had a 1996 affair with their housekeeper of 20 years, Mildred Baena, which produced a son.
“I blew up my family,” Schwarzenegger writes in his book called Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life.
“No failure has ever felt worse than that.”
