Sara Ali Khan is one of the most adored young actresses in the country. She is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, which has ensured that she grew up under the spotlight. A couple of months ago, Sara’s father, Saif Ali Khan, was stabbed at his Bandra residence, leaving the nation in shock. Apart from the actor, none of his family members have spoken about what transpired between them behind the scenes, and how her father has dealt with the difficult situation.
Sara Ali Khan reveals she became numb after Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident
Sara Ali Khan is the eldest child and only daughter of Saif Ali Khan. The diva shares a close bond with her ‘abba’, who often expresses his delight at her being his first child. She recently sat down for an interview with Times Now and recalled how, three months ago, the incident had left her numb. The actress mentioned that she can’t recall what transpired in those moments. Sharing her memories from the time she got to know about the attack on her father, Sara said:
“I shut down. I don’t remember much—it was a freeze impulse. I didn’t know what was happening. We were lucky that it wasn’t critical. From the hospital to getting updates, those 15-20 minutes felt like a lifetime. But I was relieved very fast.”
Sara Ali Khan also discussed the viral video in which Saif Ali Khan was seen smiling when he returned home after being discharged from the hospital. She shared that it is the brave nature of her father, who has four kids, including two small children who look up to him. So, he had to showcase that he was fine. At the same time, the diva mentioned that her father is a fighter and that he inspires her. In her words:
“As a father of four with two small children, he had to show that he was okay. He has always been a fighter, and I look up to him for never giving up. That’s the nature of our job—sometimes, you have to put on a brave face and say, ‘I’m fine.'”

In the same conversation, Sara Ali Khan compared her personality with that of her father, Saif Ali Khan, and mentioned that, unlike him, she is not calm under pressure. The Kedarnath actress highlighted that her father is more capable of carefully dealing with panic situations. However, she is the one who will panic first and later become numb and cry over it. So, she had a similar reaction to Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing incident.

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at his residence in Bandra in the wee hours of January 16, 2025. The actor reportedly tried to tackle an illegal intruder in his youngest son Jeh’s room, which left him with six stab wounds. He immediately went to the Lilavati hospital and underwent immediate surgeries. The attacker has been caught by the police, who have filed a case against him while Saif was discharged after spending five days in the hospital. Following the incident, Saif and Kareena have decided to keep their kids, Taimur and Jeh, away from the media spotlight and requested that to not click their random photos.
