Former cricketer and India opener, Shikhar Dhawan revealed his struggles after his divorce from Ayesha Mukherjee. He revealed recently that it has been 2 years since he has seen his son, Zoravar and it has been a year since he spoke to his beta. Although, Shikhar is hopeful that if it is destined to be, one day his son will come back to him as he believes in the power and manifestation of the universe. It was in 2023 when Shikhar and Ayesha separated after being married for 11 years. Now, Shikhar lately revealed how he is hopeful that he and Zoravar would talk once if the universe were kind.
Shikhar Dhawan shares how he does not let the sad feeling creep through him of not being able to talk to his son
During an interview with the Times Now Summit, Shikhar admitted that he hasn’t seen his son since 2023 and has not spoken to him since 2024. However, he keeps sending messages to him on the blocked number and does not let that sad feeling sync into him. This is because then again he will attract sadness. In his words:
“Esme kya hota hai manifestation ka hi bata raha hu mei. Ek environment hai. Toh mei environment ke energy mei nai jaara. Mei ek energy alag create kar raha hu ki mei feel karta hu ki mei already apne bete ke saath hu. Baatein kar raha hu, enjoy kar raha hu uske saath aur bahut mera bond strong hai. And again I will touch and surrender towards nature. If nature has to bring it he will come. Nai bhi aaya koi baat nahi. Jee raha hai achi zindagi. Jaha bhi hai acha khush hai.”
Shikhar Dhawan shares how he has chosen not to be sad in life
Shikhar added that it is always a choice of what you wanna choose. You wanna crib about life, or you wanna be grateful about life and be thankful like one has such an amazing life where whatever one thinks can go by. He can go anywhere. He added:
“I can go anywhere. I have amazing people around me. Some things will not go your way and that’s fine. That has come to make you stronger and make you wiser rather than crying, oh, this is not there in life. It is fine.”
Shikhar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukherjee’s marriage ended on a sour note
Shikhar’s former wife, Ayesha, already has two daughters from her earlier marriage, but after marrying the former cricketer in 2011, their bond ended in 11 years. A Delhi court noted that Shikhar had undergone stress due to Ayesha, who kept their son, Zoravar, separated from him for years. The court observed that Ayesha could not defend the allegations levied on her. Earlier, in an interview with ANI, Shikhar had also revealed that he kept sending his son texts despite the former opener being blocked on all social media platforms. Shikhar said:
“I want him to be happy and healthy. I still message him every three or four days, even though I am blocked. I don’t expect him to read them. I don’t mind if he doesn’t read them—it is my job to reach out. I will keep doing it. I miss him and speak to him spiritually… I feel through affirmations that I am conversing with him every day, hugging him. I put my energy into it spiritually. It is the only way I can bring back my son.”
