Salman Khan recently shared some promotional photos posing in his signature stylish look on Instagram for his upcoming film, Sikandar. In the pictures, he was seen wearing a blue shirt with his signature bracelet and sunglasses. But, the Dabangg actor’s expensive watch stole the show. Soon, fans recognised that the actor wore the special edition watch and praised him for respecting all religions.
However, his viral pictures have brought him into trouble. Recently, the Barelvi cleric and All India Muslim Jamaat president, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, reacted to the pictures and called out the actor for donning a Ram Janmabhoomi edition watch. He termed it as ‘illegal’ according to their religious beliefs. Sharing his views, Maulana Rizvi told PTI:
“Wearing such a watch in hand being a Muslim is illegal and haram. Salman Khan is a famous personality in India. He has millions of fans, and he is also a Muslim. If any Muslim, even if it is Salman Khan, is promoting the Ram Mandir or any other non-Muslim thing, it is considered illegal and haram. I urge Salman Khan to follow the principles of Shariat.”
Salman Khan’s Ram Janmabhoomi edition watch is worth Rs. 34 Lakhs
The Jacob & Co. brand makes the special Ram Janmabhoomi limited edition watch worn by Salman Khan. They made it in collaboration with Ethos Watches, and the watch includes detailed engravings of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. It also has small depictions of Lord Ram, Hanuman, and other Hindu deities. Moreover, the watch’s dial has an elegant ‘Jai Shree Ram’ inscription, making it one of its own. As per the brand’s website, the luxury and culturally significant watch comes for Rs. 34 Lakhs and was also worn by Abhishek Bachchan.

Salman Khan was last seen in Tiger 3, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in 2023. The actor will be next seen in Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, Kajal Aggarwal, Prateik Babbar and more. The film is set to release on Eid on March 30, 2025. At the same time, the actor, in his conversation with the media, confirmed that he and Aamir are excited because Andaz Apna Apna 2 is in the works. Moreover, Kabir Khan is writing Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 and working on a project with Sooraj Barjatya.
