India has approved an agreement on Rs 62,000 for 156 radical Prachand lung helicopters for the army and the Air Force to strengthen the defense.

India approved its largest defense in history to strengthen its armed forces. The government has cleaned the purchase of 156 radical lung helicopters (LCH) Prachand for the Indian Army and the Air Force from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (Hal). The transaction, which is estimated at Rs 62,000, was approved by the Cabinet Security Committee on Friday.
In June 2024, Hel had already received an order for these helicopters. According to the distribution, 90 pounds will be delivered to the Indian army and 60 will be put to the Indian Air Force. These helicopters are made at the Tumakuru Hal plant in Karnataki.
Strengthening the defense along the bounds
According to sources of defense, light Prachand’s light combat helicopters will be deployed for operations across China and Pakistan, which greatly enhances India’s protection. These helicopters will also contribute to the creation of jobs and the growth of India’s aerospace industry.
