Nita, recently in an interview with Bloomberg, shared how her three talented children- Akash, Isha, and Anant took up roles in the Reliance company based on their line of interest. She revealed that the reason why the Ambanis are successful is because she has always allowed her kids to make their own choices in their lives, which she felt was of utmost importance. Nita shares she was never a controlling parent who governed her rules on the career decisions of her children. She said:
“I didn’t decide. They decided. It is such a pleasure to have a daughter who shares the same values and belief system. Seeing her as a woman leader in Reliance Retail brings me so much pride.”
Indeed! Nita is super proud of her daughter, Isha who has shaped a mark in the retail world and has had her own fervour and passion for the retail sector. Nita shared that Isha has always had a very strong intuition, and this quality made her understand the needs of the consumers.
Akash Ambani leads telecom company, Jio
Akash is the eldest son of Nita and Mukesh Ambani and the head of Jio, which is the biggest telecom company. Under his guidance and leadership, Jio has made a massive turn in internet accessibility in India, making connectivity super fast for millions of consumers. The transformation played a massive role during the country’s digital revolution. Nita credited Akash for being determined and having a unique vision.
Nita Ambani heaps praises on her youngest son, Anant Ambani and has hopes from her granddaughters
Nita shared that her youngest son, Anant, has an interest in environmental conservation. He is the head of Reliance’s Green Energy and manages Vantara, an animal rescue, sanctuary and rehabilitation centre. Nita revealed that Anant has always been committed to making a long-lasting and optimistic impact on the environment. She also spoke about how she is always committed to promoting gender equality and always supports her daughters as well as granddaughters. Nita shared:
“My youngest, Anant, has always been about saving the environment and protecting wildlife.” Nita shared his commitment to sustainability and passion for making a positive impact on the environment. My girls can do as much as my boys,” she said, adding that she continues to support them through family responsibilities or spending quality time with her grandchildren.”
