At least six people were killed and five were injured after a hollow tree near Gurdwar’s parking, Manicaran Sahiba in Kul and fell on them on Sunday.
Additional District Magistrate (Adm) Kulu, Oshvani Kumar, said: “Six people were killed, and five were injured after the trees were eradicated near the parking lot of Sakhib Gurudwar to Kulu. Police and rescue groups of the district administration moved five victims to a local public hospital.”
Kullu Mla Sunder Singh Thakur said three victims had been identified. He said: “Two people were locals, and four were outside. Several others were also affected by the incident. Near the Gurudvar, the tree was uprooted.
Chief Minister Himachal -Passesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhi expressed Hlybokaje grief over the incident, the Himachal CMO said in an official statement.
The Chief Minister sent the district administration to extend all the possible assistance to the victims and their families. He also instructed the officials to provide the best medical treatment of the victims.
Expressing his condolences, the Chief Minister prayed for peace with their souls and forces to die to endure this irreparable loss. He also wished the rapid recovery for the incident. The CM Sukhu also assured the people that the state government was firmly with the affected people at this time.
