The Matildas family is growing again!
Aussie soccer star Tameka Yallop has shared some exciting news with her thousands of followers: she and wife Kirsty are expecting their second child.
“We have been hanging out to share this special news…,” Kirsty captioned their joint Instagram post.
“Harley is bursting with excitement that she is going to be a big sister 🥰”
The longtime couple already share daughter Harley, four.
“Baby Yallop number 2 coming soon 💜💙,” they signed off with purple and blue hearts.
The pair posted several photos with their daughter, holding up a sonogram and sign that read: ”Baby Yallop due October.”

The comments section was inundated with messages from many of Tameka’s Matildas teammates, including Mackenzie Arnold, Charli Grant and Lydia Williams, congratulating them on the exciting news.
“Best news ever 😍😍😍😍!! Congratulations ❤️,” Ellie Carpenter wrote.
“Congrats Meeks. So excited for you guys 🤍” Katrina Gorry commented.

The official Matildas team also shared the news in a separate post to their Instagram
“Adding another member to the Tillies fam ❤️🥰” they captioned the announcement.
Tameka and Kirsty have been married since February 2019.
They first met at the World Cup in Canada in 2015.
Kirsty is a retired professional soccer player who used to represent the New Zealand national team.
“As soon as I met Kirsty I knew I wanted to do life with her, and the best way to do that was to be open about it,” she told 9Honey in 2021.
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Harley, in August 2020.
“It’s pretty hard to describe being a parent,” Tameka said.

“It’s pretty cool. You can’t prepare for it. Everyone tells you what you should expect, this magical world, but it’s hard to explain I guess.”
Tameka isn’t the only Matildas star with a child on the way.
In November 2024, her teammate Sam Kerr announced she’s expecting her first child with her fiancée, US footballer Kristie Mewis.
