A Saturday Night Live star has reacted to one guest’s controversial move during the show’s latest episode.
Singer Morgan Wallen caused a stir when he broke a long-held SNL tradition.
At the end of the show, the guest stars and regular cast typically hang around on stage as the credits roll to celebrate the episode.
However, during his March 29 appearance as a musical guest, Wallen gave host Mikey Madison a quick hug, then abruptly exited the stage, which was caught on camera.

Days after Wallen made headlines for walking off, SNL star Kenan Thompson has weighed in on the “abrupt” act, saying the country music star “seems like a complicated individual”.
“I don’t know what goes through people’s minds when they decide to do stuff like that,” Thompson, who has been a cast member on the sketch show since 2003, told Entertainment Weekly
The comedian recalled late music icon Prince also once walked off the stage.
He recalled the cast not being surprised, as the Purple Rain singer was “notoriously kind of standoffish.”
“But Saturday, I guess it was just different because it just felt so abrupt,” he said, comparing that moment to Wallen’s walk-off.
“And it was already such a small grouping on the stage anyway. So it was just like, oh wow, that was pretty visible.”

After walking off the stage, Wallen posted a cryptic message to his Instagram Story.
Posting a photo of a plane on the tarmac, the singer wrote: “Get me to God’s country”.
Addressing Wallen’s social media post, Thompson said: “The ‘God’s country’ of it all is strange because it’s like, what are you trying to say?”

“You trying to say that we are not in God’s country? We’re not all in God’s country? We’re not all under God’s umbrella?
“That’s not necessarily my favourite,” he concluded.
Wallen rose to fame on the US version of The Voice. He is known for songs such as Cowgirls and Last Night.

The star sparked mixed reactions online for walking off stage early, with one person on X (formerly Twitter) saying it was “literally so rude” while another said the show was “phenomenal” aside from Wallen.
Meanwhile someone else said it was “such a random thing to be angry at”.
