If you’ve ever wanted to swap that minty-fresh feeling for something a little more crispy, savory, and finger lickin’ good—KFC has you covered.
In a surprise collab that no one saw coming (and most assumed was a prank), KFC and Hismile have launched a real fried chicken-flavored toothpaste, inspired by the fast food chain’s 11 herbs and spices.
Originally teased as an April Fool’s joke, the limited-edition product is now actually available for purchase. According to both brands, the toothpaste offers the “unmistakable taste” of KFC’s Original Recipe Chicken—but still promises to leave your mouth feeling clean and fresh.
“This started as an April Fool’s joke, but we thought—why not make it real?” said Koban Jones, marketing manager at Hismile, in a statement shared with Food & Wine. “It’s definitely our boldest flavor yet.”
KFC echoed the sentiment, calling the product “irresistible,” and likening the brushing experience to biting into a hot, juicy piece of their iconic chicken.
The toothpaste is sold in a 2.1-ounce tube for $13, and for those who want the full KFC-branded brushing experience, there’s also a matching toothbrush available for $59.
Hismile is known for teaming up with unique brands and pop culture icons to create unexpected oral care products. Previous releases have included collabs with The Simpsons and Miffy, but this KFC edition pushes the flavor boundary more than any launch before it.
Whether you’re curious, a collector of weird internet finds, or just really love KFC, this is one novelty item that’ll definitely get people talking.
The KFC x Hismile toothpaste is available now in limited quantities on Hismile’s official website.
Would you brush with chicken-flavored toothpaste—or is this one flavor combo too far?
