Trade Union Minister Kiren Rijji Tablef (Amendment) bill proposed by JPC for consideration in Lok -Sabh. The bill was issued after the issue of the house for consideration and passing the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Riga.
Locke Sabha adopted a WAQF (amendments) of 2025, which includes proposals made by the joint parliamentary committee, which studied the bill in August last year. The House also occupied the Mussalman Wakf Bill (cancellation), 2024 for consideration and passage.
Minority Minister Cyren Rygia has postponed two bills for adopting the House. The KC Venugopal Congress has accused the government of attempting to bulldas the bill, saying that they were not given enough time to transfer their amendments.
“You are bulldozed by the law, you need to give time to amendments, there is no time to repair,” he said. OM Birla Speaker said he had taken into account the amendments to the government and opposition members.
As the NK Premachandran RSP causes some objections against the procedure adopted by the government over the bill, Interior Minister Amit Shah said the Union’s office approved the amendments that were registered with the bill. He said the amendments were based on JPC report.
“There is no point in order,” he said. Riga told the media earlier that the bill was in the interests of the country.
Earlier, the bill was submitted in Lok Sabha last August and a joint parliamentary committee led by BJP Jagdambika Pal, inspected it. The bill seeks to change the law on 1995. The bill seeks to improve the administration and management of WAQF facilities in India.
It is aimed at overcoming the deficiencies of the previous law and improving the efficiency of WAQF tips, enhancing the registration process and increasing the role of technology in the management of WAQF.
