Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardar has been positively tested for Coronavirus and is currently in isolation, his doctor stated on Wednesday.
Asif Ali Zardari, 69, was taken to Karachi and received a private hospital on Tuesday, following the complaints of respiratory problems and fever.
Dr. Asim Hussein, the president’s doctor told the media that Asif Ali Zardar has agreed to the Coronavirus.
“It was confirmed after many tests, and he has now been installed in isolation, and his health is observed around the clock,” he said.
“A group of experts takes care of the president, and his condition is improving,” Hussein added.
According to local media, Asif Ali Zardari left for Navabsha on Monday and before that he would hold meetings with his party leaders on Sunday.
In recent years, Asif Ali Zardar has collided with various health problems. He used to have been positively tested on July 19, 1922, although he only felt “mild symptoms.” In October 2024, he received a fracture of his foot on the plane board and was immediately hospitalized. After a medical estimate, his leg was placed in acting.
In March 2023, Asif Ali Zardar was also subject to eye surgery in the United Arab Emirates.
