Recently, a video from the Stardust Awards made rounds on social media, wherein Rekha was seen entering the stage to hand over the award. In the clip, Rekha looked simply breathtaking as she slipped into a black-toned oversized shrug with a white shirt underneath. She tied her hair up in a ponytail, and with a glam touch of makeup and a pair of dangler earrings, she finalised her look. In the video, we could also see Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in the front row of the audience. Well, it was Amitabh, whose reaction caught the attention. Rekha was seen presenting the award to Sanjay Dutt.

Jaya Bachchan warned Rekha about Amitabh Bachchan and said he is only hers
In an interview on the Meri Saheli podcast, veteran author and film historian, Hanif Zaveri talked about the love triangle between Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bachchan. Hanif said that during the shoot of Do Anjaane, Rekha and Amitabh became close, and while it couldn’t be known how they fell in love, it was very much evident from their bond. Hanif stated that it was Jaya’s dedication to Amitabh after his accident on the set of Coolie, that made the actor re-think his doings, and that time around, the tension between him and Rekha increased.
As per Hanif, it was Jaya who then chipped in and invited Rekha for lunch when Amitabh was not present. Jaya reportedly fed Rekha well and talked to her a lot, and when she was about to leave, the former held the actress and said that Amitabh was hers just like he had always been. Reportedly, this was what ended Rekha and Big B’s relationship.
