Soulja Boy took the stand in Los Angeles this week, denying allegations of rape and abuse made by his former personal assistant, Jane Doe.
“I asked her if she wanted to have sex, and she was engaged in it,” Soulja testified, referring to a sexual encounter during a police raid at his home in February 2019. “She didn’t push me away or say stop, nothing like that.”
His defense team, led by attorney Rickey Ivie, insists the relationship was consensual and that Jane Doe’s claims lack credibility.
When asked if he had ever “hit the plaintiff in the mouth, bust her lip, and force her to give you oral sex?” Soulja Boy responded firmly, “Of course not, and that’s a disgusting allegation.” He continued, “It sounds crazy to me. I did not do that.”
Doe claims Soulja Boy subjected her to physical and sexual abuse during her time as his assistant from late 2018 to 2020. She alleges repeated rapes, including one during the 2019 raid and another in 2020 when she returned to retrieve her belongings.
Additionally, she accuses him of locking her in a room for three days without food or water after she tried to quit in 2019. Despite the alleged abuse, she stayed, saying he repeatedly apologized and promised to change.
The civil trial, which includes claims of sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, emotional distress, and unpaid overtime, is still ongoing in Los Angeles Superior Court.
